“Rain”

When I look at this painting I just recently finished, it makes me think of DREAMS and things my heart desires.

Have you ever stopped to think about umbrellas? I always thought they were one of those items that haven’t evolved but should have. They protect our upper body (partially, usually) and everything else gets wet.

They really don’t “cover” anything.

Your dreams need “umbrellas” – they need to be protected, but not covered. After all, you have to let people see what you’re up to!

You want your dreams to shine and you want the whole world to see what’s in your heART.

You want to share your deepest ambitions with your family and your friends, but that’s not always the best thing to do when it comes to your dreams. We’ve all got the I’m-telling-this -for-your-own-good kind of reply from some of our dearest ones.

So how can you prevent criticism and other yukky stuff from others to permeate your plans and your lofty ideas?

You protect them.

With an umbrella.

The umbrella of BELIEF. In yourself, in your power, in your love for who you are and what you do. Belief in what makes you unique and in the contribution only you can make to transform this world with love and beauty.

Sometimes our belief has “holes” in it. Like that used umbrella, it might be getting a little rusty… or those beautiful colors are fading a little.

Maybe it’s time to throw that umbrella away and get a new one!

Every day is a new opportunity. So why will you stick to your same broken belief if it’s not serving you anymore, if it’s leaving your dreams unprotected?

Get yourself some new, fresh, vibrant, oh-I-just-love-what-I-do new set of beliefs!

It’s ok to change umbrellas. Sometimes it rains hard, sometimes it just drizzles. Life’s different every day if you really pay attention to it.

Oh, and get some bright, fire-red rainy boots, to go with it, too. Just because you can
